it is impossible to determine exactly how much additional yield is attributable to plant activity management alone, because production is influenced by many factors, including crop variety, growing strategy, weather conditions and operational decisions.

is therefore intended as a planning tool that helps growers set their targets, explore the possible impact of better decision-making and estimate what may be achievable within their specific situation.

current revenue = area × annual yield × price. Total revenue = current revenue × (1 + increase %). The expected yield loss (e.g. from plant stress, climate fluctuations or suboptimal irrigation) counts as a : current revenue × loss %. Net result = total revenue − total costs (energy, water, labour, miscellaneous costs, 2Grow costs and yield loss). You enter costs either as an amount per season (€) or as a % of your (before any increase). That way a yield increase flows fully through to the net result and your costs do not rise artificially along with your yield. The block sets your settings (“Now”) against the default starting situation (“Current”): 0% yield increase, 0% yield loss and standard costs (energy 30%, water 5%, labour 26%, miscellaneous 20%, 2Grow 0%) — your situation without 2Grow. On opening, the difference is therefore €0; every change to the parameters appears immediately under “Now” and “Difference”. The reference calculates on your own business data (crop, area, yield and price). The per-crop starting values and the example costs are indicative sector approximations and fully adjustable — growers are best off entering their own figures.
